Azaleas are set up as a nascent tree found in Minecraft. This tree will have a heavy set of roots that extend deep underground, indicating the location of lush caves. However, in the update of Minecraft 1.17, the first part of Caves of Cliffs, fresh caves were not added to the game. This placement is expected to appear in the future, and we expect it later. Because the fresh caves are not in Minecraft, Azalea trees cannot reproduce naturally in your world, and you cannot find them in the wild.
When the Azaleas appear in Minecraft, they should reproduce above a lush cave. If you find an Azalea tree, it’s basically a massive red marker that indicates where to find a lush cave, which means you have to find it. Trees appear in any area above these caves, and there is a chance that, due to its size, the Azalea tree could be grown in the cave.
If you want to add an Azalea tree to your garden before it naturally appears in Minecraft, there is a way to get it. You need to find a mossy block that trades with a wandering merchant, or by looting a chest inside a shipwreck. A wandering merchant will give you two mossy blocks for one emerald.
If you have moss blocks, all you have to do is place it where you want your Azalea tree, give it bone meal to breed azaleas and flowering azaleas. When you give azaleas or flowering azaleas more help with bone meal, they become azaleas.
Although Azalea Trees do not naturally appear in Minecraft in Update 1.17, we can expect them to be released sometime in the future, probably in the second part of the Caves and Cliffs Update, if not earlier.
