Pokémon Go players say goodbye to Season of Legends on May 31, 2021. On June 1, immediately thereafter, Season of Discovery begins. It will be a three-month period focusing on the many events that take place in Pokémon Go, and we will also see the 8th season of the Battle League.
The previous season, Season of Legends, focused on several new legendary Pokémon, such as Therian Thundurus, Landorus and Tornadus. These Pokémon were already in play in their standard forms, which also returned, but the Therian forms are a more powerful version of the Pokémon. We also saw the return of Giovanni, who captured the shadow versions of Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos. At the end of the season, Xerneas and Ylevtal debuted.
Now, during the discovery season, Pokémon’s attention is shifting to summer. The first day of the season begins on June 1, when discovery and adventure events are planned, which is the perfect way to start the summer. Season 8 of the Battle League also begins just before it, on May 31st. In the battle league, the Grand and Ultra Leagues will be divided into a two-week period, with the main league available for a solid week. During the summer, there will be several actions, each week the player will have more Pokémon that players can encounter, and lots of actions.
