The official Japanese site the release date of Shin Megami Tensei V was accidentally missed, along with several story details of the upcoming title. According to the leak – before it was deleted immediately – the game will be launched on November 11, 2021. And it can be assumed that this is a global release date, because V has previously been confirmed to have a worldwide launch.
The announcement of the release date of the Shin Megami Tensei V would most likely be timed to present the Nintendo E3 2021, as it is an exclusive Nintendo Switch. A special edition called “Forbidden Naobino box” is planned for him, which will contain music from the game and also an object reminiscent of the hero Naobino. Most likely, however, it will only be a Japanese set, because there was no indication of a Western edition.
The leak also revealed details of the story and the game. The protagonist is an ordinary high school student who is suddenly transported to Da’at, a world filled with both gods and demons. He connects with a mysterious being called Naobino and is thrown into a conflict between the two sides. Players will encounter more than 200 demons in the game, including many familiar ones, as well as brand new demons designed by character designer Masayuki Doi.
