When A Plague Tale: Innocence was released, it was an impressive performance of what many would consider an AA studio. Asobo Studios did a great job creating a world where rat plague and the presence of an intriguing paladin order were always in the back of your mind. The story of Amicia and Hugo was great, with emotional plots and a spooky environment. That’s why it’s so exciting to see that the sequel to the cult game is on its way. Here is the release date of A Plague Tale: Requiem.
Plague Tale: Requiem is currently ready for release sometime in 2022, although there is no specific release date since this writing. This game will be released on PC and Xbox, while Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to play the game for free on the day of release. The first game was also available on the PlayStation, but we currently have no confirmation if this is the case for the sequel.
From what we saw on the exposed trailer, Amicia will have to fight the hordes of hungry rats that Hugo controls. In the first game, Amicia led Hugo through the infested and dangerous areas until they were eventually separated, and it was clear that Hugo’s control of the rat plague. Why they are apart now, and if Hugo plays a more antagonistic role, there will be some more interesting revelations as we get closer to the game.
