The division’s world is expanding.
Ubisoft has surprisingly unveiled a new game taking place in Division the universe today. The Division: Heartland is a free-to-play survival shooter that has been coming to PC and consoles since 2021-2022.
Heartland is separate from The Division’s games and is built on the basic mechanics of The Division and retains the perspective of the series from a third person perspective. You will be able to play alone or with up to three other players.
The development is led by Red Storm Entertainment, a studio closely associated with the licenses of Tom Clancy, who also worked on The Division and The Division 2.
No additional information, trailer, or screenshots were provided.
Ubisoft also announced plans to convert The Division franchise to a mobile device, bringing the universe to an even wider audience.
Finally, The Division 2 will also receive brand new content as part of an update coming in late 2021. The content will include a brand new game mode and new methods for comparing agents with an emphasis on increasing build diversity and viability. Further details on this new update will be released before it is released.
