Many of the attacks available to your Pokémon in Pokémon Go complicate balancing them to find the right combination. If you teach him the wrong fast move or don’t give him the best-charged attack, you’ll be amazed by any fight whenever you use it. Shadow Ho-Oh is one of those Pokémon you want to make sure you make the best set of moves. Although it has increased attack power like the shadow version, it also has reduced defense, which is less reliable and the possibility of higher risk.
Shadow Ho-Oh is a fiery and flying Pokémon. It will be weak against Electric, Rock and Water moves, but is resistant to Bug, Ground, Fire, Fighting, Fairy, Grass and Steel attacks. It will primarily be used in the Master League and is essentially at the same level as its standard version.
These are all the moves that shadow Ho-Oh can learn.
- Extrasensory (mental) – 8 damage and 3.3 energy per wheel (2.6 damage per wheel) – 3 turns
- Hidden force (all types) – 9 damage and 2.6 energy per wheel (3 damage per wheel) – 3 turns
- Burn (Fire type) – 15 damage and 4 energy per wheel (3 damage per wheel) – 5 turns
- Brave Bird (Flying-type) – damage 130 (156) and 55 energy (100% chance to reduce the user’s defense by three rows)
- Earthquake (ground) – damage 120 and energy 65
- Fire Blast (Fire-type) – 140 (168) damage and 80 energy
- Return (normal type) – damage 130 and energy 70
- Solar beam (grass) – damage 150 and energy 80
When choosing the best quick procedure for shadow Ho-Oh you will always want to burn. It has the most damage and produces the most energy. The amount of energy you get using combustion is incredible, so it’s a must for Ho-Oh. Without it, you will never be able to use its more energy-intensive charged movements, with the lowest requiring 55 energy.
You have several options for charged moves. The first choice you will always want to make for the Ho-Oh shadow will be a brave bird. Although Shadow Ho-Oh already has a lower defense than its standard version, if you use a brave bird, you want to use it to knock down an enemy with a massive attack, and the brave bird is one of the best you could use.
Another option for the shadowy Ho-Oh’s second charged move would be an earthquake. It is the second lowest energy attack Ho-Oh can learn and covers many Ho-Oh weaknesses. The earthquake is very effective against Pokémon such as Electric, Fire, Poison, Rock and Steel. What you have to worry about the most is the electric and rock type. Unfortunately, Ho-Oh has nothing to remove Water-types, so you’ll need a suitable Pokémon in your inventory to handle them.
Shadow Ho-Oh works similarly to the regular version. They both have the same movements. The downside is if you can’t eliminate the frustrated charged motion of the shadow Ho-Oh. You can’t use it until you unlock both of its charged motion slots, which you can only do at certain times in Pokémon Go.
The best set for teaching Ho-Oh shadows is burning fast motion, and the charged movements are a brave bird and an earthquake.
