One of the most anticipated additions to Pokemon Go Pokedex has finally arrived.
Pokemon Go coaches today have something they can be incredibly excited about: Sylveon, the highly anticipated Eevee Evolution, is finally available in the game. Sylveon is a Pokémon fairy that was first introduced in the sixth generation of traditional Pokémon games – and is a creature that many players care about, as it is the eighth (and final) evolution of the beloved first-generation Pokémon Eevee.
Because Eevee is such an iconic Pokémon – in many ways second only to Pikach – fans have naturally been asking for some time to get a complete set of evolutions. Now it can happen in Pokemon Go – and we have a complete guide on how to evolve Sylveon and all its other evolutions from Eevee, if you need to.
In the original Pokémon games, a cute cat of the normal Eevee type could have evolved into either a Vaporeon, a Jolteon or a Flareon – each unique evolution thematically focused on the elementary types Water, Electric and Fire. In later games, we met Espeon (Psychic), Umbreon (Dark), Leafeon (Grass), Glaceon (Ice) and Sylveon (Fairy-type). Over the years since its inception, Pokemon Go has gradually added each of the new Eevee Evolutions to the game.
The methods of evolution differ from the main games, but both traditional Pokémon and Go have in common that each evolution is obtained in a different and unique way.
Sylveon was added to Pokemon Go as part of the ongoing Lumious Legends Y event, an ongoing gaming event that celebrates the arrival of Pokemon since the sixth generation of console games, Pokemon X and &, into the game.
