This is the second of five Tall Tales that make up the campaign season Pirate life. After completing the title of the campaign’s first mission, you’ll have to go looking for Captain Jack Sparrow’s ship Black Pearl … the only wrinkle is currently in the Sunken Kingdom, which, as the name suggests, is at the bottom of the ocean.

You will have to go through to get what you need from Pearl Siren Spire – where you have to complete puzzles (and occasionally fight enemies) to advance up the tower levels.

The Sunken Pearl: Statue Puzzle # 1

When you first enter Siren Spire, the Mysterious Voice that has led you so far will reveal that it is significantly less friendly than it seemed, and will summon some Ocean Crawlers – a new type of enemy for the season – to fight you.

You must defeat several waves of these enemies using your chosen weapons. When the last one falls, he drops and Siren heart.

Pick it up and do the siren statues in the cave – there are four in total, one of them bigger than the others. When you reach one that has an empty cavity in your chest, follow the instructions to Return the siren heart.

Look around the cave and you will see a glowing mural depicting four sirens that look like those statues. From left to right are:

  • Holding a jewel in one hand and the trident held low in the second.
  • Holding a coral in one hand and the trident held in the middle in the second.
  • Holding a chain in one hand and the trident held high in the second.
  • The bigger the siren is shell into the mouth.

To solve this puzzle, you must move the arms of each statue to hold their tridents in the position marked by the mural.

Just be aware that the angles shown on the mural are a bit misleading – especially the trident, which is held low on the mural, must actually be tilted down to the floor on the statue.

Interact with the arms of the statues by hitting them with your weapon of your choice. If you are still unsure of positioning, move each arm of the sculpture in several different rotations until you have a clear idea of how they relate to each other – this should make it easier.

Once you have the statues in place, use your weapon on the large statue with the shell in the middle of the cave. If the solution is correct, the cave will slowly fill with water and take you to the next level.

(And if you’re wrong, there’s no penalty, so you can try again if you need to.)

The Sunken Pearl: Statue Puzzle # 2

The good news: the second puzzle is very similar to the first. You will even use the same sculptures. Less good news: you will do the same thing again, but this time underwater, thanks to the new water level in the cave.

(It’s not really that hard of suffering: don’t forget to constantly devour the air bubbles you pass to increase your oxygen, or re-emerge if you really need it.)

There’s a new mural at this level of the cave, but it’s really quite easy to remember: each of the three smaller sirens holds its trident in the highest position. On statues, this means that the tip of the trident must point back over their shoulders.

Swim down to the last level, adjust your arms to the three smaller statues and crush the larger statue to blow it back onto the shell.

Rather than raise the entire water level this time, he shoots one geyser right in front of the mural you used to solve the latest puzzle. Stand up and go on a wild ride to the next level!

The Sunken Pearl: Statue Puzzle # 3

Reaching this level of the cave triggers two more waves Ocean Crawlers you have to fight. Don’t forget to pick up the Heart Siren when the last drop falls.

This level includes a new mural as well as a new set of sculptures, so find the one missing her heart and jump back to her rightful place.

The sirens on the mural are this time from left to right:

  • Holding a coral in one hand and the trident held low in the second.
  • Holding a chain in one hand and the trident held in the middle in the second.
  • Holding a jewel in one hand and the trident held high in the second.
  • The bigger the siren is shell into the mouth.

This puzzle is pretty much the same as the last two, except that one of the statues is on the ledge above you and out of reach of your weapons at close or short range. Fortunately, it’s near the armory, so you’re not stuck unless you’ve packed the right equipment.

Collaborate with the large Siren statue to blow out the shell again, and if you do it right, the cave will start flooding again. Let yourself float up gently on the rising water.

When you reach the dry ground on a new level, you will see a ramp created from what appears to be the backbone of some large aquatic mammal, leading higher and higher.

Climb the skeleton and then hop up the makeshift stairs until you reach a landing with a statue of a mermaid checkpoint and a glittering barrier.

The Sunken Pearl: Statue Puzzle # 4

When you are ready to continue, stretch the weapon barrier. You land in a sort of observation room at the top of the tower, where a Mysterious Voice reveals her true identity and gives you a classic villainous speech as what looks suspiciously like a Kraken revolves outside.

When it’s done, cut through the barriers that keep the room dry and you’ll be back in the ocean. It’s time to start holding your air bubbles again.

You will have to defeat several enemies before you move again Sirens in fight. The last one you send will release the next heart of the siren – don’t forget to pick it up from wherever it falls!

Pull out Jack’s compass and follow it to the rock wall with a carving of Siren’s face and a statue on either side. Place the heart of the siren in the empty chest of the right statue.

Look back at the Siren’s face and you’ll notice that there is a familiar piece of mural on each side, indicating that you want to move the tridents of both statues to the center position. When done, swim to the ledge above the left statue and communicate with another statue of a large siren with a shell.

When you get this right, the wall of the cave with the carved face of the Siren will be lowered and give you access to Sunken citadel and the next stages of the search.
