MLB The Show 21: How to complete 3rd Inning Juan Marichal Player Program

On June 4, San Diego Studios launched the 3rd inning program at MLB The Show 21. MLB The Show players need to hit 350,000 XP to win one of the three bosses of the 3rd inning, and 650,000 XP to win all the rewards in the program. To help the 3rd inning, on June 11, SDS added a new program for players, whose prize was “Dominican Dandy” Juan Marichal. MLB players can get a 90 OVR Marichal and XP card into the program. Here’s how to do it.

To complete Juan Marichal’s program, you will need to earn 50 points, similar to Fred McGriff and Bruce Sutter, who were part of the 2nd inning program. To get to the 50-point mark in the cleanest way, you should try the following:

  • Complete six moments in the Player Program (42 points)
  • Defeat San Francisco in CPU on All-Star difficulty (8 points) or complete one of two online missions (10 points each)

Marichala can be obtained strictly through offline play, so if you can’t win pitcher Giants or hit 10 batsmen with pitchers in San Francisco in the online game, there is another way. Along the way you will also receive:

  • 1500 stumps
  • 3 MLB Show 21 packages

Once you complete the Marichal program, you can earn 35,000 XP on the 3rd exchange program. To get more XP, go to the 3rd shift page on the Programs tab and select Collections. Find the Marichal card, select the card, and then Advance.
