Valorant was a huge success at the Riot Games. It has an active ratings scene, passionate fans, and in June 2021, the Riot Games shared an average player base of 14 million players. Along with this announcement, they shared that they would make a mobile spinoff Valorant, and we can expect more competitive shooting in the future.
This announcement follows another title of Riot Games, the mobile spinoff League of Legends, Wild Rift, another growing success in the mobile market. It is constantly becoming a new trend to create a popular shooter and bring it mobile, similar to other popular titles such as PUBG, Call of Duty and Apex Legends. It took just over a year to launch a mobile game dependent on the success of the computer version of Valorant.
We don’t know right now when Valorant will have a mobile spinoff, but we do know that it will come. We can expect it to come with a slightly different name, much like the mobile version of League of Legends is referred to as the Wild Rift. You can expect more updates in the future as Riot Games share more information about their growing franchise.
