Klaus is one of our favorite parts of the Mauer Der Toten map in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies. He has a great personality and is always willing and able to lend a helping hand. Well, maybe not so much, but it will still help you a lot when he fights for his life when he has enough charge. Here’s how to upgrade Klaus to be stronger in Mauer Der Toten in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies.
After activating Klaus, he can perform all his normal functions, but he has a standard unimproved weapon. Fortunately, three levels upgrade it, like upgrading weapons on a Pack-a-Punch machine.
The first upgrade is probably the one that will most likely cause you to get down due to its hectic. Go to the clothing factory with Klaus and have him killed in front of his upgrade machine. It can take dozens of kills, so if Klaus leaves to recharge, go to the roof and call him back on the radio in front of the Speed Cola.
When Klaus kills enough, the red upgrade screen will turn green. Use Klaus’s remote control to tell him to get into the upgrade machine, and you’ll have to protect him for a minute. During this time, more zombies and more disciples will appear in all attacking you and the upgrade machine. This is the hectic part where you are stuck in a small room crowded with enemies. If Klaus suffers too much damage, he will leave and recharge, and you will have to start again when you call him inside. But once you do a full minute, the first level of upgrades will be complete with a level one Pack-a-Punched weapon.
The second and third updates are surprisingly really easy compared to the first. Take Klaus to the Control Switch control room and send him in front of the box with the zero painted above it. It stabs and you can catch the black light inside.
Now that you have a black light, there are six different fields around the map that you need to look at. There will be two floppy disks randomly in two of these fields. If you turn on the black light on the box, you will see a hidden Klaus head telling you that it is one of the boxes you need. If there’s a head, put Klaus in front of it and he’ll break it like a locker. Grab the disc inside.
Possible field locations are
Streets of West Berlin
Blasted Suite (across the street from boxing on West Berlin Street)
Ghost Station (at the door to Deadshot Daiquiri)
Hotel lounge (opposite Stamin-up)
Apartments on the 5th floor (below the spawn)
If you have your two floppies, return to the Garment Factory upgrade machine with Klaus. Tell him to climb inside the machine and you can upgrade it again by interacting with the machine. After completing the process, the weapon will have a second level Pack-a-Punched.
The machine will now switch to cooldown. We’re not sure if it’s time or lap, so if you find yourself waiting long without any change, just move on to lap. When the cooldown is over, tell Klaus to get back into the machine and interact once more to fully improve it with a third Pack-a-Punched weapon and a sick new punk rock look.
