Goats can become a useful animal that you can use in Minecraft. They are able to jump to huge lengths and can throw things quite effectively. You can also keep them in pens so you can milk them, knock their horns or raise them to create an army of goats. How you use them is up to you, but effective taming and bringing to the village can be a bit tricky.
The best way to tame a goat is to sneak up on them and want to make sure you have wheat. You must have at least five wheat to tame a goat properly. After feeding the goat five wheat should be tamed. However, there is a small chance that the target will not be tamed and will attack you instead. If this happens, you’ll need to go back in a few minutes and try again. Unfortunately, after feeding a goat with wheat, it is a coincidence whether it will be tamed for you or not, but you have a great chance that it will happen successfully.
Once the goat is tamed, you can use it to lure wheat and keep it around the base. If you can put them together, you can feed them both wheat to give birth to a goat. When trying to tame goats, watch out for screaming, which sounds different than normal and is more aggressive.
