Becoming a rat in a mob family is a bold step in BitLife. Not only do you work with the police, who don’t like you, but mafia members probably won’t be pleased to pass on information about them. When you join the mafia, the real challenge is to make sure you’re not caught like a rat and pass on family information. However, if you want to join the Witness Protection Program, this is the only way to do so.
You must first become a rat of the mob family to have a chance to join the Witness Protection Program. There are two ways to achieve this. The first is the immediate decision to go to the police and become an informant for them in the mafia’s family job offer. Another is to commit a crime for a mob family, to be caught and then by the police, which gives you the opportunity to become an informant. Of course, you can always choose not to do it and go to jail instead, but you usually face 15 to 25 years.
Once you are an informant, you must gather evidence against a criminal family. The police will give you some time to finish it, so you can’t sit on it.
You can do this by interacting with any of the mafia members on the co-worker’s menu, as if you were spending time or praising them. You want to choose to gather evidence against those like you, not those who have a red or orange bar relationship with you. You will have to do this several times against several members and there is a possibility that they will try to challenge you to obtain evidence. When that happens, you’ll have the opportunity to admit it or try to hit them to keep them from talking.
We strongly recommend that if you decide to become a rat, if you have the opportunity, do so when you are a high-ranking member of the family and have been doing so for several years. If you do this as a humble family member, it is likely that many members of the mob group will not want to talk to you or communicate with you. It is difficult to gather evidence, and when five years expire, you will not have enough to give it to the police, forcing you to go to jail.
After you have gathered enough evidence against the family, return to the authorities and they will take it from there. After a short wait, the police will contact you to share the detention of several members of the criminal family and plan to press charges against them. They will then offer you the opportunity to join the Witness Protection Program, where you will move to a new country, receive a new name and have to start again with nothing. You also have the opportunity to take risks at home, but many members of the mob family who have not been charged against them will try to harass and intimidate you.
It can be difficult to join the Witness Protection Program because of how much evidence you need to gather against the mafia. Fortunately, once you get into it, you will get stuck in it unless you continue to commit crime in the new country.
