Azalea trees are supposed to wear beautiful flowers in Minecraft and are to bring you to a lush cave in the biome of the plain. However, in Minecraft 1.17, Azaley and lush caves do not naturally appear in your world. Most of the materials are here, but you have to find them using unique methods. For those who want to add an Azalea tree to your garden, you can do so by obtaining moss.
You can get blocks of moss in two ways: by talking to a wandering merchant or by finding it inside a wreck chest. Both methods work well. A wreck may be your best choice, but if you find a wandering merchant on your travels, it will never hurt to talk to them. However, you will need an emerald to make a trade.
Once you have a moss block, place it anywhere you want to grow your Azalea tree. When the item is down, the next step is to get the bone meal and apply it to the moss block. The moss block generates an azalea, and if you do it again, it becomes a full azalea tree. The tree creates rooted dirt under it. When Azalea Trees reproduce naturally in Minecraft, you will be able to use them to find lush caves in the Plains biomes.
The most difficult will be the placement of moss blocks. You will have a better chance of trading one with a itinerant trader, but you do not want to wait for it to appear.
