Valorant, a very popular tactical shooter from the Riot games, has 14 million players a month. Sometimes these players would want privacy. While most games give players a way to look offline, Riot forgot to include this option in Valorant. It’s a strange omission, but something that can be resolved if players wish.
In this guide, we will discuss the main method that people use to view offline in Valorant.
Interested players can download a program called Deceive, which allows you to appear offline. The current version can be downloaded from Github, and its use is quite easy. After downloading the program, you will need to perform the following steps:
- Right-click Deceive.exe, and then click Shortcut.
- Go to Properties
- Add “valorant” to the end of the target field.
- Press OK and then start the application
You may see a notification from the windows, so keep that in mind. As with all of these workarounds, we can only advise you on what to do, not isolate you from potential negative consequences. While Riot doesn’t seem to mind people who use this method to look offline, there is always a chance that this attitude may change in the future.
Any game updates can also break Deceive, and you’ll need to revisit the Github page to download the updated version when the developer makes it available.
