The size of the complete map in Far Cry 6 is 88 km² (34 sq mi). By comparison, this is about three times the size of the map in Far Cry 5, which is about 90% of the Walt Disney World area in Florida. Now that Yara is an island nation, much of this total area is an open ocean, but there is still a vast and diverse area that you can explore on land.
The map is divided into seven main areas-El Este, Esperanza, Isla del León, Isla Santuario, Madrugada, Valle de Oro and Archipielago Castle – the larger ones are divided into sub-areas, for a total of 15 territories to win back from the forces of evil dictator Antón Castilla .
Yara also boasts much larger urban settlements than any previous Far Cry game, the largest of which is the capital Esperanza, which itself is approximately 1.3 km2. It may not sound like much, but in terms of the game environment, it’s quite large and it will take you a few minutes to run from one end of town to the other.

The urban environment is one of the main factors that allows the Far Cry 6 map to be more vertical than any other game in the series, so you will not only explore a huge 2D plane, but also a substantial vertical plane.
