Final Fantasy 14 Online is released today for PS5 along with Patch 5.55.
First released last month as an open beta version of the PS5 version Final Fantasy 14 Online comes with a number of new features.
You can expect improved frame rates, faster loading, and 4K support. The PS5 version also includes DualSense Haptic Feedback, new trophies and 3D audio support.
The PS5 release comes with the final story patch before the fourth data disc Endwalkerwhich will be released in November.
Correction 5.55 marks the conclusion Shadowbringers by adding additions to the main script, YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse and Save the Queen.
The contents of patch 5.55 can be found below:
- Correction 5.5 Main Scenario, Part II – The second part of this last update of the main scenario earlier Endwalker is paving the way for the upcoming expansion in style.
- YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse – Another YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse story has been added to this epic crossover questline.
- Questline “Save the Queen” update – This latest update includes a new field area, “Zadnor”, an increased resistance limit of 25, a final upgrade of resistance weapons and new extensive content of the Battle of Dalriad for up to 48 players.
Final Fantasy 14 Online Complete Edition, Starter Edition and Shadowbringers datadisk are available on PlayStation Store.
In addition, if you have a PS4 license registered in your account, you can upgrade to PS5 Upgrade Edition at no additional cost.
New gamers can experience the game on PS5 through a free trial or by purchasing the full edition.
