The new PC patch for Days Gone brings a welcome change.
On Tuesday, Bend Studio released a small new update for Days gone on PC. Although the gaming port for the PC has been largely well received, this week’s 1.02 update brings one important improvement.
If you’ve spent some time with Days Gone on your PC, you’ll no doubt feel how clumsy mouse control was in the game. Part of this is, of course, intentional, because the movement and many actions of the character rely on long drawn animations. But it often seemed that the game unnecessarily delayed the mouse’s response, leading many people to believe that there was a hidden dead zone.
Turns out this was a bug fixed in this week’s update. Of course, in Days Gone, it doesn’t magically do aiming and movement, but it will certainly offer better control. Read the full change log below.
- Fixed camera issues when using a mouse.
- Fixed a “dead zone” mouse issue.
Days Gone surpassed Steam’s best-selling charts several times, but eventually attracted about half of the players that Horizon Zero Dawn managed to launch. This might come to terms with the word of mouth over time, but we won’t know for sure until Sony publishes the official numbers.
