Chivalry 2 will host an open beta to test the crosssplay features of the upcoming multiplayer game. A new open beta was recently announced by developer Torn Banner and publisher Tripwire Presents.
The primary function of the beta is to test and challenge the game’s crossplay feature, which allows players to end up in the lobby with other players from across the game ecosphere.
The open beta version of Chivalry 2 crossplay will begin on May 27 and will be pre-loaded on May 26 at 11:00 Eastern Time. The open beta will end on June 1, with the final launch of the game on June 8.
The open beta version of Chivalry 2 crossplay will be available on the following platforms:
- PC through the Epic Games store
- PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5
- Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X
The open beta will include the following goal-based maps:
- Defeat Cromwell
- Battle of Darkforest
- Siege of Rudhelm
The Battle of Wardenglade and Tournament Grounds will also feature free battles for everyone. The open beta will include a complete cosmetic customization for all four classes, duel servers and options for servers for 40 and 64 players. Eventually, players will be able to create parties with players on the same platform before loading players from all platforms into the lobby.
