Yveltal debuts at Pokémon Go on May 18, and you can expect to see him in five star raids. It will be shown during the Luminous Legends Y event, which will take place from 18 to 31 May, and will be divided into two parts. The first week will focus on Dark-type and the new shadow Pokémon captured by Team Rocket. During the second week, Sylveon makes his debut and adds a new Pokémon Fairy to the game. Throughout the event during both parts, Yveltal appears in five-star raids, so you have to beat them and add them to your collection. Unfortunately, don’t hope to come across a glossy version.
Whenever a new Pokémon appears in Pokémon Go, players are interested in finding out if you can find this Pokémon enough times, find its glossy version. Yveltal won’t be shiny, and you can probably expect him to appear as a shiny Pokémon in a year or two when he sets out on Pokémon Go again for a short time.
Niantic always releases a Pokémon first and later adds a glossy version. It happens whenever a Pokémon debut appears. You can usually expect this after a year or for some even longer. Legendary Pokémon, however, have an annual cycle, such as Landorus, Thundurus, and Tornadus. They were initially released in early 2020 and had an event for their glossy versions in the spring of 2021.
We may have to wait another year for this shiny version of Pokémon to appear, but it will wait. While you are waiting for the glossy version, the standard Yveltal is something not to be missed. It’s really good.
