The Treyarch sent a large patch on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War it will eventually add a sniper rip.
The changes today arrived in a major mid-season update on all platforms. This feature has been missing from Black Ops Cold War since launch (it was present in previous Call of Duty games) because the developer thought it would help balance the snipers in a multiplayer shooter.
However, many players felt that the removal of sniper rifles was overcome – the sniper could make several hits and yet, thanks to the longer TTK Black Ops Cold War, attacked the attacker. Flinch is supposed to reduce these cases by applying a heavy hit to the sniper’s target when firing.
According to corrective notes developer posted for the update, it was confirmed that there are two reasons for the change:
“To create a more meaningful game between sniper rifles and other classes of weapons,” Treyarch explained. “To better define the role of each sniper rifle, to gain greater individuality and specialization.”
“Custom Flinch” has been added to the game, which means that the impact of enemy fire will move the player’s target based on calculations unique to this weapon – the attachments will be taken into account in how this Flinch is processed. It will be more intense if you come across ads.
Result? “Heavier sniper rifles will now feel heavier and will regain ADS more slowly accordingly.” Remember that ADS momentum is not used when entering ADS from a full hip-fire position. “
We hope that this rethinking of the Sniper class will make them easier to fit into the Black Ops Cold War meta as a whole.
