Last Apex Legends The narrative video, Tales of the Outlands, teases a wealth of content for Season 9 – including new characters, Titans and more.
In a surprisingly emotional new video that catches up with the tragic stories of the latest character Apex Legends, a number of new things await us due to landing in Apex Legends Season 9. If you played Titanfall 2, you may recognize Viper as one of the main opponents of the game (and the one who took BT for arms). At this point, Respawn does not seem to be ashamed of the actual connection of points between Apex Legends and Titanfall 2.
First of all, the 8-minute video introduces us to the incoming legend – codenamed Valkyrie. “Brave, cheeky, fiery and wild, Kairi Imahara grew up in the shadow of her father’s heritage.” But now she is ready to launch her own, “is a small advertisement for the new character. Check out her video below.
Valkyrie’s abilities have been subjected to datamine, so this may not be the final specification, but it will roughly play like this:
- VTOL nozzles (passive) – Hold the jump to launch VTOL Jets – basically a jetpack that allows you to hover
- Cluster missile (tactical) – Launch a rocket that explodes several times on impact
- Skyward (final) – Press once to start the launch and teammates can connect to the Ult. Press again to launch into the air and then jump.
This game will also introduce a new weapon with a new season in the form of Bockek Bow: a powerful and deadly weapon (for those who have the skills to control it). “It’s able to cause huge damage in medium range, you’ll have to count every shot,” says the description.
We will also see how the Olympus takes over the infestation, but what exactly it entails remains to be seen. “There’s been an infestation that has strangled the city with its roots and natural growth,” the ad says – so expect it to block movement a bit.
As always, we will receive a battle passport and a rated regime will also appear this season. You can read more about these at official website of Apex Legends.
The video seems to suggest that Rampart is responsible for bringing the Titans into play; if you look at the end of the clip, you can see her working on Titan in some big hangar. Will the machines be delivered as Ults, or will they be included in another way? Nothing has been confirmed yet, but we know for sure that they are coming in season 9 – and the datamani are saying the same thing. Either way, it’s almost certain that the jets on Valk’s back come from Titan in the hangar.
Season 9 of Apex Legends begins on May 4, according to the date listed at the end of the trailer.
