One of the biggest selling points of every Ratchet and Clank game are weapons. Each title contains a number of unique and crazy weapons and grenades that have many effects and do the work in their own unique way. The latest game in the series, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, will continue this tradition as you jump between dimensions and equip yourself with a variety of new hardware. Here is a list of all the weapons you will encounter in Ratch and Clank: Rift Apart.
Blackhole Storm is an LMG that quickly fires purple bullets that chop groups of enemies. It is not known if it has any other special effects since this writing.
The Burst Pistol is a fairly standard pistol that you would expect in most shooting games. Pressing the shutter button for a partial shot will fire slower but more accurate shots, while pressing it fully will have a more fully automatic experience at the expense of accuracy.
As the name suggests, this weapon fires blades that destroy enemies. We’ll update this post as we know more about Buzz Blades and any special effects other than saws shelling at enemies.
Cold Snap is a launcher that fires an arc shot that freezes enemies in place. When we find out more about the weapon, we update this article.
An enforcer is a shotgun that packs a good blow in intimate situations, as you would expect. A partial press of the trigger fires from one barrel, which shortens the time between shots. Press fully to fire both barrels at once and throw the enemies away.
Lightning Rod fires a bolt of electricity, which is transmitted from one enemy to another a short distance away. While the enemies are inflamed, the enemies are immobile for a moment, leaving you with a wide window for subsequent attack.
Mr. Fungi is a version of Mr. Zurkon’s Rift Apart from previous Ratchet and Clank games. Although we haven’t seen it in the game since this writing, its description is, “It attacks enemies and potentially distracts them.” Given its name, we would speculate that it is a spongy drone running around the battlefield.
The negatron accelerator fires a large beam of energy that appears to destroy everything in its path. Although it may be one of the most powerful weapons in the Rift Apart, it requires a short charge time before it can fire.
Ricochet fires bullets that, instead of bouncing off walls, hit the enemy and keep flying back and slapping them. It’s one of the most unique weapons we’ve seen so far, and it brings a new element to what you think a weapon could do.
Shatterbombs are small grenades that you throw away and that seem to do a lot of damage. Upon contact, they explode and destroy everything in the immediate area of the explosion.
With this weapon, you blow up a sprayer that sprays liquid on enemies who surround them through bushes. They are frozen in place and can accept any other punishment you give them during this time.
